Abstract

In this work, we presents and analyzes the results of a research carried out on the issue of specific competences in the new degree programs that the European Higher Education Area has promoted in the Spanish university system. In particular, the question is to study the impact that the new teaching-learning model of this scene committed to curricular innovation, and more specifically on students of the Social Work qualification. The research has been developed through a descriptive method, supported by a survey applied to a sample of students of the mentioned degree. The results have shown that among these students there has been a self-perception of the specific competences of the career in which they predominate in high attributions. It has also been found that variables of interest such as becoming through academic courses, the compatibility of studies with work activity or the relationship with volunteering in this degree does not produce influence, in general terms, at the time of perceiving in themselves the specific competences that they are trying to teach.
