Resumen
La comunicación científica de la evolución humana se enfrenta a retos derivados de la complejidad de la evidencia paleoantropológica, el carácter provisional de las interpretaciones científicas y la persistencia de concepciones culturales erróneas como los modelos lineales de evolución. Este artículo analiza los factores epistemológicos, culturales y comunicativos que influyen en la comprensión pública de la evolución humana y examina las limitaciones de los enfoques tradicionales basados en el modelo del déficit. Mediante una revisión crítica de la literatura sobre comunicación científica y el análisis de casos representativos de la paleoantropología, se proponen estrategias orientadas a equilibrar el rigor científico, la explicitación de la incertidumbre y la accesibilidad para audiencias diversas. En este marco, se conceptualiza la Paleoantropología Digital como un paradigma emergente que integra visualización científica, narrativa controlada y participación digital para mejorar la comprensión, apropiación y valoración del conocimiento paleoantropológico. Casos como Lucy y Homo naledi muestran cómo la representación visual, la circulación temprana del conocimiento y la cocreación digital pueden remodelar los marcos interpretativos del público sobre los orígenes humanos. El trabajo concluye que una comunicación eficaz de la evolución humana requiere integrar claridad conceptual, transparencia epistemológica, diseño narrativo y prácticas participativas, concibiendo la comunicación científica como un proceso colaborativo que fortalece la comprensión social de la evolución.
