SciComm Report, (SciComm rep.) is a serial and peer-reviewed publication that has been created to contribute to multidisciplinary scientific dissemination that has an impact on people, their social and cultural environments, as well as the development of technology that improves the quality of life of individuals and their communities.

SciComm Report is the official body of the Science Communication Center of the Universidad Autónoma de Chile. It is open access and uses a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International  (CC BY-NC- 4.0).

We are interested in articles that seek to understand how knowledge circulates in society in all its forms. The journal covers a wide variety of topics related to science, technology, knowledge and innovation and their ways of communicating it, from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines to the social sciences and humanities. Articles addressing objectives of transferring to the community results obtained from conventional research and also the reporting of systematic experiences of citizen science, as well as environmental and health communication are welcome.

Objective: To disseminate original articles relating to all aspects of science communication. Analytical studies are generally preferred to descriptive studies.

Mission: Promote the professionalization of science communication through systematic analysis of the different forms of knowledge transfer and dissemination. 

Vision: SciComm rep., seeks to be a space for academic discussion and multidisciplinary dialogue in the area of scientific communication between research and academic peers in the area.

Aimed at: Academics, researchers and professionals of any discipline who carry out systematic activities of knowledge transfer to society and scientific dissemination in any of its forms.

SciComm Report publishes in the continuous publication scheme in Spanish and English, following the order of publication of the accepted articles.

The sections include original articles, review articles, essays, transfer models and good practices and school research, which will be submitted to external arbitration in accordance with the evaluation process defined for this purpose.

Publishers, brief communication, letters to the publisher, book recensions and communication of events of scientific or informative interest, will be evaluated by the editor and published in another section that will not be arbitrated.

SciComm rep., does not demand article processing (APC) charges or article submission charges for any of the editorial or publishing processes.
