Abstract

Introduction: Mental health has shown a great increase and impact on public health, mainly associated with the context of the pandemic, and with a greater emphasis on post-COVID-19 survivors. technologies can be used as up-to-date solutions to health problems. Objective: To evaluate the effect of a telerehabilitation program on mental health in survivors of COVID-19. Methodology: Experimental study with group randomization, consisting of 40 subjects, who had training for 6 weeks, 3 times a week for 40 minutes, through virtual communication systems. For the assessment of mental health, the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-14) and the Goldberg-12 General Health Questionnaire were used, in general health, anxiety / depression and social functioning. To evaluate its effect, the control and post-intervention experimental group were compared using the student’s t-test. Results: Global mental health showed a decrease in symptomatic expression with a p <0.05; DS = 1.162. Similarly in anxiety and depression, with a p <0.05; DS = 1,246. In stress, a decrease in symptoms was also evidenced p <0.05; DS = 1.186. Conclusion: It is evidenced that telerehabilitation is a strategy that has positive effects on the reduction of mental health symptoms in the population surviving COVID-19.
