Impacto del nuevo sistema de educación pública sobre el rendimiento académico de estudiantes y escuelas en Chile

Resumen
En el 2017 cambió la administración de las escuelas y liceos públicos desde los municipios hacia el Gobierno Central mediante la Ley 21.040 que crea los Servicios Locales de Educación Pública (SLEP). En la actualidad no hay un estudio que mida el impacto de esta política pública sobre el rendimiento de escuelas y estudiantes. De esa manera, en este trabajo se intenta medir el impacto utilizando datos de la Agencia de la Calidad de la Educación y con metodologías de propensity score matching y diferencias en diferencias (DiD). En general se encuentra un impacto negativo en el rendimiento de escuelas y estudiantes producto del cambio en la administración, sin embargo, en algunos casos se encuentra un impacto positivo.
