Not to disclose information about articles received to persons outside the editorial process.
Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, their authors and reviewers, ensuring the anonymity of the process.
Not to use the contents of the articles for own research without the express consent of the authors.
Strictly comply with the published times for the editorial process and a maximum number of gaps between acceptance and publication, that is, no accepted article can remain unpublished two issues in a row.

Reviewers:

Make a critical, constructive and honest review of the scientific quality of the article received.
Inform the Editor in case of conflicts of interest, refusing to perform the review due to possible bias.
Decline to make an assessment if it does not correspond to your area of knowledge or specialization.
Evaluate the work in a timely manner, immediately informing the Editor in case of impossibility of performance at the time of receiving the request.
Consider each assigned manuscript as confidential, and these texts cannot be discussed with other persons without the express consent of the Editor.
Evaluate objectively, without establishing personal judgments about the authors of the contributions.

Justify their assessments according to the pattern established by JM&BS.

Warn publishers if substantial parts of the work have already been published or are under review for another publication.

Indicate with precision the bibliographical references of fundamental works possibly forgotten by the author.

Inform the Editor of any similarities or overlaps of the manuscript with other published works.

Consider the information obtained during the peer review process as confidential, and may not use it for personal purposes.

Authors:

Present an original work, which does not contain parts of other authors or other fragments of work without the corresponding reference.

Present true and unaltered data.

Not to publish articles in which the same results are repeated in more than one scientific journal, nor to present a manuscript simultaneously in more than one journal.

Provide in a rigorous manner the indication of the sources and contributions mentioned in the article.

Include those people who have made a real contribution to the article, ranked the authors according to their level of responsibility and involvement in the document.

Not include other authors in the middle of the editorial process.

Make available sources or data on which the investigation was based, in case of duly justified request by the Editor.

Explicitly declare the absence of conflicts of interest that may have influenced the results obtained or the interpretations proposed, and indicate any funding of agencies and/or projects from which the research article is derived.

PLAGIARISM DETECTION POLICY

JM&BS has a plagiarism detection policy, which aims to ensure that authors comply with the ethical standards necessary to ensure a process of transparency in the publication process.
The editors of the journal carry out the plagiarism detection process through the Turnitin software, and it is carried out in the first stage of the edition (once the article has been received). When plagiarism is detected, it is immediately rejected and those responsible are informed.
In the same way, the reviewers are asked, during the evaluation stage, to inform if they detect any form of plagiarism in the manuscript.
When a lack of research is detected, the editors have the duty to inform the editorial committee so that the necessary measures are taken: retractions, corrections, apologies, clarifications.  Editors should always be ready to post corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary.

Errata, retractions, clarifications and apologies
The answer to a published error depends on the nature of the error and the person or organization that informs you about the problem.  When a lack of research is detected, the editors have the duty to inform the editorial committee so that the necessary measures are taken: retractions, corrections, apologies, clarifications.  Editors and editors should always be ready to post corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary.
For peer-reviewed content, error types can be classified as:

Errata: If the journal makes a significant error that could affect the work or reputation of the authors, the published notification is called errata.  Correction of errors: if the author or authors make a major error, all authors must approve and sign the corrections (correction document) or the journal must be informed of their opinions in disagreement.

Retraction: If the results are not valid, all co-authors must sign a retraction explaining the error and how it affected the conclusions.  This will be sent for publication and is the most consistent type of error.

Annex: If additional information on an article is published, it may include an editorial concern.  It is attached to documents that the personal editor considers require additional explanation for understanding.  Once the communication has been received from the editor, the Editorial Committee is convened to take a joint decision on the resulting measure, which, when decreed, is communicated to the author and carried out as soon as possible.

All determinations are made while maintaining the integrity and prestige of the journal and its authors.   JM&BS is governed by COPE standards when developing these processes in editorial practice.

EVALUATION POLICY
Articles submitted for evaluation at JM&BS should be high-quality academic research in business and administration. The submission of any type of article implies that the authors accept the editorial rules of JM&BS and that they authorize the editorial committee to disseminate the works both on the electronic page of the journal and in the databases or indexing systems printed or electronic in where their contents are hosted.
The receipt of an article does not imply the commitment of JM&BS for its publication. Authors may use the material in their article in other works, articles or books published by themselves, provided that JM&BS is cited as the original source of the texts.
The views expressed in each work belong to its authors and will not compromise WYD or the Autonomous University of Chile. The legal issues that may arise from the transfer of materials for the journal JM&BS will be the responsibility of their authors.
JM&BS is published biannually in two issues in June and December in an annual volume. However, articles are received throughout the year and each author may not publish more than one article per number. Articles should be uploaded to the journal platform, where questions regarding: originality, assignment of rights and reproduction of materials should be answered. In the application message you must also attach the curriculum card of the authors in OJS. This sheet contains the author’s complete data (institution, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number) and a brief overview of his academic background (professional studies and academic degrees, and institutions that awarded them) and research experience (research lines, research projects and main publications).

JM&BS conducts the full evaluation process in an average of 4 months. This evaluation process consists of 3 stages:

1) Revision of the editorial committee.  The editorial committee will carry out an evaluation prior to the process of assigning peers, in order to verify that the article complies with the presentation guidelines and that its theme responds to the editorial lines. This review is carried out within a maximum of 3 weeks. Articles that comply with the journal’s editorial policies, that meet the expected requirements of a scientific article and that represent a contribution to the literature and knowledge of the area of study, will pass to the expert peer review system "double blind". In some cases, the editor will ask the authors to make modifications to the article, before submitting it to peer review. The decision to continue or not the evaluation process will be announced by note to the authors, which will be sent by email.

2) Examination by the evaluators themselves.  Articles that pass the review stage of the editorial committee will be submitted to the criteria of two peer reviewers who will perform the double-blind review (Double-blind Peer Review). The evaluating peers will send their concept (evaluation) within a maximum of 2 months. If there is no unanimity in the evaluation, a third evaluator will be called or the decision will be submitted to the editorial committee. In the case of a third evaluator, the evaluation process will take an additional 4 weeks. The results of the evaluation will be announced by note to the authors, who will be sent by email and registered in OJS. Articles may be approved without modification, approved with slight modifications, approved with substantial modifications, or rejected.

3) Final version of the article.  In the case of articles that are accepted with modifications (light or substantial), the authors must submit the final version of the article with the relevant corrections within a period of no more than 3 weeks. Authors must submit a letter with the justification of each of the corrections made. The editorial committee of the journal will verify the final version based on the opinions and will inform the authors in which issue of the journal their work will be published. This notification will be made within a maximum of 3 weeks after receiving the corrected version of the article. The accepted articles will be submitted to style correction and their publication will be subject to the availability of space or the theme addressed in each issue. The publication letter of the article will be sent by the authors by email. The editorial board may authorize the authors to submit the modifications in advance. Also, the editorial committee reserves the right to make any style correction adjustments it deems necessary.
