Pilates para reduzir a dor em pacientes com lombalgia. Revisão sistemática

Resumo
Objetivo: Realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre a eficácia do Pilates na redução da dor em pacientes com lombalgia.
Método: São selecionados ensaios clínicos randomizados controlados, realizados em humanos, realizados nos últimos dez anos. A principal base de dados utilizada foi a PubMed, por meio da plataforma National Library of Medicine.
Resultados: O Pilates é eficaz na redução da dor em pacientes com lombalgia. A amostra total foi de 335 pacientes de seis ensaios clínicos. A frequência do Pilates foi de 2 a 3 vezes por semana, com duração total entre 6 e 24 semanas. O instrumento de medida utilizado para avaliar a dor foi o mesmo em todos os estudos: a escala visual analógica.
Conclusões: O Pilates é eficaz na redução da dor, melhorando a função, qualidade de vida, mobilidade física, incapacidade, flexibilidade, equilíbrio, resistência estática e dinâmica e aumentando a estabilização lombopélvica em pacientes com dor lombar.
