1. Definition: Thematic Issues are special editions of the Justicia & Derecho Journal dedicated to a specific topic of legal relevance, addressed in a monographic manner. They seek to promote academic debate, encourage interdisciplinarity, and reflect innovative advances or emerging interests in law, from a national, comparative, or international perspective.

 

2. Guidelines for Proposing Thematic Issues

 

Proposals for this section of the Justicia & Derecho Journal will be accepted throughout the year and submitted to the review of the journal’s editorial committee. The documents to be submitted are as follows:

 

• A proposal including the name(s) of the guest editor(s), a title, and a summary of the theme and purpose of the issue (maximum 750 words).

 

• The deadline for submitting articles after publication of the notice of the selected proposal. In addition, a tentative schedule for the receipt, review, and publication of articles must be included.

 

 

All papers must comply with the journal's editorial guidelines, available in the Guidelines for Authors section. It is recommended that you review the editorial policy on the Justice & Law Journal website.

 

The Editorial Team will consider the following aspects in the selection process:

 

• Affinity of the proposal with the thematic line of the Revista Justicia & Derecho journal
• Internal articulation around the main theme.
• Ability to bring together authors and/or research groups at the national and international level specializing in the topic addressed.
• Proposed plan for dissemination on social media and in the media of the announcement (Call for papers) and the resulting publication.
• The coordinator(s) of the selected thematic issue proposals will follow the internal editorial process established by the Revista Justicia & Derecho journal.

 

3. Proposal and Approval: Proposals for Thematic Issues may be submitted by:

- The journal's Editorial Committee.

- Invited researchers or academic teams.

- Research centers, academic networks, or collaborative projects.

- Others

 

The proposal must include:

• Tentative title of the thematic issue.
• Academic justification and relevance of the proposed topic.
• Brief description of the approach and lines of analysis.
• Proposed Thematic Editors (names, affiliations, brief academic CV).

The Editorial Committee will evaluate the proposal based on its relevance, originality, and feasibility, and will communicate its decision to accept or reject it.

 

4. Thematic Editors: Thematic Editors assume an academic role of coordination and editorial management for their issue. Their responsibilities include:

- Preparing the call for papers for the thematic issue.

- Reviewing the thematic relevance of the manuscripts received.

- Coordinating the external evaluation using the double-blind method, in conjunction with the Editorial Committee.

- Reviewing the overall coherence and quality of the content.

- Drafting, if applicable, the presentation of the issue.

The position is honorary and unpaid.

 

 

5. Editorial Process and Peer Review: All articles submitted to a Special Issue follow the journal's standard editorial process:

 

• Initial Review: The Editorial Committee verifies compliance with editorial standards, originality using Turnitin, grammatical and spelling correctness, thematic relevance, and scientific quality.
• External Evaluation (Double Blind): Each article will be evaluated by at least two external reviewers using an official form, considering:

 

Formal aspects:

• Appropriateness of the title to the content.
• Clarity and coherence in the structure of the article.
• Use of appropriate legal language.
• Substantive aspects:
• Relevance within a discipline of law.
• Originality and innovation of the work.
• Clear and reasoned approach to the legal issue.
• ppropriate use of bibliography and current case law.
• Mastery and handling of the subject.

 

Final evaluation:

• Publishable without comments.
• Publishable with modifications.
• Not publishable.

 

Articles subject to adjustments must submit a revised version within a maximum period of two weeks. If deemed necessary, a third blind evaluation may be requested before the final decision of acceptance or rejection.

 

6. Openness and Access: The journal guarantees open access to all content, with no processing or publication charges (APC). Calls for Special Issues will be published on the journal's official website, along with guidelines for submitting articles.

 

7. Frequency: Up to two Special Issues may be scheduled per year, depending on editorial availability and the quality of the proposals.

 

8. Acknowledgments: The Journal Justicia & Derecho may issue a formal certificate of collaboration to the Special Issue Editors in recognition of their academic work.

1. Definición: Los números temáticos son ediciones especiales de la Revista Justicia & Derecho dedicadas a una materia específica de relevancia jurídica, abordada de manera monográfica. Buscan promover el debate académico, fomentar la interdisciplinariedad y reflejar avances innovadores o de interés emergente en el Derecho, con una perspectiva nacional, comparada o internacional.

 

2. Directrices para la propuesta de números temáticos

Las propuestas de números temáticos para la revista Revista Justicia & Derecho se recibirán durante todo el año y se someterán a evaluación del comité editor de la revista. Los documentos para presentar son los siguientes:

• Una propuesta que incluya el nombre(s) de el/la(s) editor/a(s) invitado/a(s), un título y un resumen de la temática y propósito del número (máximo 750 palabras).

• El plazo máximo para el envío de los artículos con posterioridad a la publicación del anuncio de la propuesta seleccionada. Además, se debe incorporar un cronograma tentativo para recepción, revisión y publicación de artículos. Se proyecta que cada número temático (dossier) este conformado por al menos 6 artículos.

Todos los trabajos deberán ceñirse a las normas editoriales de la revista, disponibles en el apartado directrices para autores/as. Se recomienda revisar en el portal de la revista Revista Justicia & Derecho la política editorial.

El equipo editor considerará los siguientes aspectos en el proceso de selección:

• Afinidad de la propuesta con la línea temática de la revistaRevista Justicia & Derecho.
• Articulación interna en torno a la temática principal.
• Capacidad de convocar autores y autoras y/o grupos de investigación a nivel nacional e internacional especializados en la temática abordada.
• Propuesta de plan de difusión en redes y medios de difusión (Call for paper) y de la publicación resultante.
• El/la coordinador/a (o coordinadores/as) de las propuestas de números temáticos seleccionadas se acogerán al proceso editorial interno establecido en la revistaRevista Justicia & Derecho.

 

3. Propuesta y aprobación: Las propuestas de números temáticos podrán ser presentadas por:

• El comité editorial de la revista.
• Investigadores/as o equipos académicos invitados.
• Centros de investigación, redes académicas o proyectos de colaboración.
• Otros.

 

La propuesta debe incluir:

• Título tentativo del número temático.
• Justificación académica y relevancia del tema propuesto.
• Breve descripción del enfoque y líneas de análisis.
• Propuesta de editores/as temáticos (nombres, afiliaciones, breve currículo académico).

 

El comité editorial evaluará la propuesta en función de su pertinencia, originalidad y viabilidad, y comunicará su decisión de aceptación o rechazo.

 

4. Editores/as temáticos: los/as editores/as temáticos asumen un rol académico de coordinación y gestión editorial para su número. Sus responsabilidades incluyen:

• Elaborar la convocatoria del número temático.
• Revisar la pertinencia temática de los manuscritos recibidos.
• Coordinar la evaluación externa bajo el método de doble ciego, en conjunto con el comité editorial.
• Revisar la coherencia general y la calidad de los contenidos.
• Redactar, si corresponde, la presentación del número.

 

El cargo es honorífico y no remunerado.

 

5. Proceso editorial y evaluación por pares: Todos los artículos enviados a un número temático siguen el proceso editorial estándar de la revista:

 

• Revisión inicial: El comité editorial verifica el cumplimiento de las normas editoriales, la originalidad mediante Turnitin, la corrección gramatical y ortográfica, la relevancia temática y la calidad científica de acuerdo a las directrices para los autores establecidas para la revista.
• Evaluación externa (doble ciego): Cada artículo será evaluado por al menos dos revisores/as externos/as mediante formulario oficial, considerando:

 

• Aspectos formales:
• Adecuación del título al contenido.
• Claridad y coherencia en la estructura del artículo.
• Uso de lenguaje jurídico apropiado.
• Aspectos sustantivos:
• Pertinencia dentro de una disciplina del Derecho.
• Originalidad e innovación del trabajo.
• Planteamiento claro y argumentado del problema jurídico.
• Uso adecuado de bibliografía y jurisprudencia actualizada.
• Dominio y manejo del tema.

 

• Evaluación final:
• Publicable sin observaciones.
• Publicable con modificaciones.
• No publicable.

 

Los artículos sujetos a ajustes deberán enviar una versión revisada en un plazo máximo de dos semanas. Si se considera necesario, se podrá solicitar una tercera evaluación ciega antes de la decisión final de aceptación o rechazo.

 

6. Apertura y acceso: La revista garantiza el acceso abierto a todos los contenidos, sin cargos por procesamiento ni publicación (APC). Las convocatorias a Números Temáticos se publicarán en el sitio web oficial de la revista, junto con las pautas de presentación de artículos.

 

7. Periodicidad: Se podrán programar hasta dos números temáticos por año, dependiendo de la disponibilidad editorial y la calidad de las propuestas.

 

8. Reconocimientos: La Revista Justicia & Derecho podrá emitir una constancia formal de colaboración a los/as Editores/as Temáticos como reconocimiento a su labor académica.
