Resumo

O comportamento dos advogados pode ser controlado por quatro sistemas diferentes que utilizam como motivação o medo da sanção do Estado, o desejo de acumular riqueza, a busca por estima e reconhecimento e o desejo de agir de maneira moralmente correta. Além de identificar esses quatro sistemas, este artigo analisa as causas que levaram ao fato de que os dois últimos sistemas não são percebidos hoje como instrumentos para orientar a conduta profissional. Por fim, propõe estratégias para permitir seu bom funcionamento.
